Bee eater

Bee eaters are the most numerous birds around my home in Mudigere. They are seen hovering all over the surroundings looking for insects. Once they get an insect, they return to their perch and bang the insect against its perch. As most of its food consists of bees, it is believed that this bird does it for squirting out the sting of the bee. This particular individual was found sitting on the electric wire, looking for bees or some other insects.
